Our Team

Dr Gauri Gogna is a distinguished Palliative Care Physician and the current President of the Chapter of Palliative Medicine at the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP). After graduating with honors from her medical training in Dublin, Ireland, in 2009, she completed her specialist FRACP/FAChPM training in Queensland in 2018.

Dr Gogna’s clinical expertise spans the management of both malignant and non-malignant disease processes. She is a strong advocate for holistic care, practicing across both community and inpatient settings. Her clinical philosophy centers on the early integration of palliative care to manage complex symptoms, which she believes is essential for improving quality of life and extending overall survival for patients with serious illnesses.

As a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland, Dr Gogna is a passionate educator and a widely published researcher with a dedicated interest in quality assurance. She is particularly focused on early advance care planning, ensuring that patient autonomy and informed decision-making remain at the forefront of the care journey.

Sally graduated from Griffith University in 2013 (MBBS) before pursuing specialist physician training in palliative care medicine and attaining her FRACP/FAChPM in 2025. She has broad clinical experience, having worked across multiple healthcare settings in South East Queensland, providing compassionate, patient-centred care to individuals with a life-limiting illness.

Sally is an advocate for the early integration of palliative care and is committed to supporting patients and their families through complex symptom management, treatment-related challenges and advance care planning in both the malignant and non-malignant setting.
